so i got thinking to myself yesterday that i should make a background picture of Rue.
i went through a few rough sketches first, and then i found one i liked;
Flandre Rue with the colours changed to a Halloween theme.
i line-arted it, and then livestreamed the colouring.
this morning, i added the blood and clouds, along with the glow from the wings.
and then i added a texture.
so now its complete, and im using it as my background.
tried to make it creepy, since silv said nothing in my artwork could ever make it creepy, since it was too cute.
who's laughing now? >:U

i'll start with the good things about this first <3
first off, i think you really captured a forced fear onto the viewers of this piece. you really managed to set up a disturbed fearful atmosphere and i applaud you for that. the insane expression and blood makes you ponder and is very well done.
the outfit is cute in a creepy way and this screams Halloween <3

now for the things that need to be improved:
the eyes (eye). its very insane looking and appeals to the mood of this pic, but i have never really been a fan of anime eyes on a canine/feline. try making them more canine-ish without removing the insane expression. there are ways to do that. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w…" width="15" height="15" alt=";P" title="Wink/Razz"/>
next is the clothing. very cute, very Halloween-ish, BUT where are the wrinkles & detail? i suggest taking a t-shirt or something and placing it in the same position and following the wrinkle pattern. from what is here so far, the shirt only wrinkles below the breasts. try to add wrinkles in other areas to add detail.
the hand posistion is well done but try making it bigger or closer to the "screen" to add depth.
the #1 thing that bugs me about this is the fur. i don't see any fur detail. i see lighting and shading, but the way you added the shading/lighting makes the fur/hair look flat. put a few lines here and there in the lighting and where the original color blends to other markings or shading to show that the fur IS fur, not just a flat solid.
the little glowy diamond thingies ARE glowing correct? it looks like they might as well be in the background because they are not casting a color (the light) coming from them onto the character.
the blood on the axe is very well done, but as for the blood on the clothes..
you need to make it "sink in." make it darker to show that the fabric has absorbed some of it.
the face shape needs some work as well.

i love this pic and the mood it sets c:
keep up the great work!!
